The missing dollar paradox…

Three guys need to rent a room for the night. The hotel clerk tells them that the room cost $30. They decide to split the bill $10 per person. Later that evening, the clerk realized that the room only costed $25. He gave $5 to another employee and told them to deliver the money to the three men. The other employee, realizing that $5 cannot be split evenly decided that he would keep $2. He gave $1 back to each of the three guys so they all paid $9 for the room. 9 * 3 is 27 + the two that the employee pocketed is 29. 30 = 29… I think not. Where’s the other dollar?
