Public schools the newest form a prison

So most of us have seen the blogs and videos regarding what happens behind school walls. now I was given a brief description of schooling in the UK and other places but I’m still a little foggy on the process, but I digress so I want your opinions on constitutional rights in school (for less acquainted the topic rights like free speech, self defense, and so on and so forth). My opinion on the matter is that public schools are basically really expensive day prisons, because from my schooling “career” as they so oddly call it I as well as most of the students in my school we treated like second class citizens behind school walls our food was frequently inedible, and our “authority figures” were disrespectful, egotistic, totalitarians who hated any type of rebellion. This is related to a couple of my other posts.
