wow! i'm speachless this is amazing but i'm quite sad as it wont happen the only way it can is by mass change but hardly anyone thinks we need it , as the video says we elect people that want to keep things the same.

Actually, remember the part about technology taking over people's jobs? People won't have enough buying power to support the monetary system, so this overhaul will have to happen eventually. And that's even if nobody does anything to speed it along, which is something I think we should do. I checked out the zeitgeist website, and it looks like they've already got a lot of people with plenty of skill and resources working towards this. Short of quitting on the Air Force early, I plan to contribute however I can, myself.

And judging by this Time article on the Singularity concept - which, by the way, is at least as awesome as the Zeitgeist idea - it's bound to happen soon:

In fact, within our lifetimes, probably. How old are you?

i'm 18. Very intresting links btw. i think jobs will be lost to technology as happens now and could set in change, but the elite are so powerful its pretty hard to imagine a good plan not being corrupted. i like you will follow the steps and hope it happens because its the most logical step forward if we dont want to fuck this planet and be slaves to money

    Sweet, I'm 18 too. :D

But anyway, I think the best things I can do are to (a) get my engineering degree, as I wanted to do anyway, and work on building and advancing these automated systems as much as I can, and (b) spread awareness about the Venus project - hopefully to the point where it's common knowledge - so that when the monetary system does break down, people will know that this awesome alternative is available and ripe for the taking.

Sounds like a plan. I'm studying to become an electrical engineer. We can make it happen!.... maybe

And imma be a mechanical engineer. It'll happen, and we'll be glad we were a part of it. :)

    Different how? Awesomer? More cynical?

'Cause if it makes me see the world "differently" in a bad way, I'd rather not spend two hours watching this just to get depressed.

Okay, I just went ahead and watched it anyway, and it is the best thing I have probably ever seen in my life. Everyone please watch it. Seriously. Right now, if at all possible.

This video contains the source of almost all the world's problems and the solution to all of them. This video promotes a future that is as close to perfection as we'll probably ever get, with prosperity and awesomeness for all people the world over. And what's more, it's actually achievable.

Don't you dare go TL;DR on this one. It's too awesome to not watch the whole thing.

No kidding! This is my new dream!

...Well, not quite my new dream, but my updated dream. It's now the third and probably most important facet of it. The other two parts are these two articles:

I always had this idea when i was smaller to make a movie. Like no plot or whatever kind of like the Earth movie just like 2-3 hours long of like clips of stuff that has ever happened like war and like everything really. Kinda like a glimpse of time just summarized

i don't like how it takes ages to get to any actual content, but if you're going to be sitting there for two hours, it doesn't really matter
