Water is life

This is why my church group and I are in Asia. If you hate me, that's fine. If you hate the church, that's fine. But don't let these people suffer due to your hate. Please donate if you can. Clean water is life.

Despite your problems John, i respect what you're doing

i won't donate to your cause, not because it's you or because of a religious reason, but i already donate to charities

    best of luck to you

I would suggest you use this post, or make a new one, to show the charities you give to. Get the word out when it comes to charity.

i just do various things, e.g. this weekend a 24 hour football (soccer) match to raise for my friends chruch to go to China and do stuff there
    - Fail4424 February 12, 2013, 8:07 pm
Nice. What are you going to China for?
    - NotJohnEcash February 12, 2013, 8:14 pm
not me, him and his church
i don't know the details, they're just helping out in general i suppose

I may not like what you post or say but I respect you for this. Everyone may have their own opinions but its hard to believe anyone could be against helping people get a better life.

Yet when I first posted this, with in 30 min, the post had a negative 3. It's what I expected of this site, but have since then been happily proven wrong. Maybe there are good people on this site and not just liberal atheist ass hats with double standards.
    - NotJohnEcash February 11, 2013, 12:43 am
I remember you saying that you think it's not okay for you to have to pay taxes so other people who can't afford it can have health insurance but at the same time you want others to give away their money so other people can have something they can't afford? Isn't that something like a double standart, too?
    - Curuba February 11, 2013, 12:14 pm
    Pics or it didn't happen.
But seriously, you should cite this so people can see that this actually was said and that Curuba isn't just saying what he took out of the comment. The comment could make seanse to someone in a way it didn't to Curuba. NotJohnEcash could have been talking about how you shouldn't tax people to pay for others but you should still give to charities
Or not, it's all about the context.
Ember is not taking sides in this as she is a cat.
    - ember February 11, 2013, 2:46 pm
You are trying to compare helping get children clean water and polio vaccinations in a 3rd world country to obama care? If you don't know the difference, I can't help you. Today all my help is for those in need.
None this less, please don't attempt to troll or start an argument here. This post is not about you or me, it's about helping children in 3rd world countries.
    - NotJohnEcash February 11, 2013, 8:11 pm
Why do you have to bring all that into it? What does being liberal have to do with it? What does being an atheist have to do with it? I am an atheist but that means nothing on what I believe. On the double standards thing I'm not sure I know what your talking about so ill leave that alone.
    - buddyfoeva February 11, 2013, 11:40 pm
As I said I am happy to discuss this with you but not here. Lets keep this post about helping others.
Ps just got my first Malaysian massage today. After a long week working, it was amazing. It made me laugh when the girl told me I am hairy as a bear. It made my girlfriend a little jealous in a good way.
    - NotJohnEcash February 12, 2013, 5:11 am
I was just asking. Cause it seems to be double standarts to me.

Help is help. It shouldn't matter where it come from. If it comes from your government people tend to dislike it. But if church or some non profit organisation is involved people tend to help a lot faster cause it makes them feel like good people.
    - Curuba February 12, 2013, 8:12 am
Your point is noted. But not needed. This is a post about charity. If you can not stay on topic please don't post here.
    - NotJohnEcash February 12, 2013, 10:07 am
Sorry Ember. Don't remember where that was.
    Can Ember forgive me?
    - Curuba February 12, 2013, 1:30 pm
Ember demands cookies and bacon. Then Ember will think about it.
    - ember February 12, 2013, 2:18 pm
Okay I gave some beacon and cookies to my mailman so he can bring them to you.

But I have a question. Since Ember is a cat. Is she like this? :
    - Curuba February 12, 2013, 5:07 pm
Don't recall where it was huh... To use your own words, is that because you are full of shit and want to argue on a post dedicated to helping people? I wonder, how can anyone have a problem with making sure people have clean water?
    - NotJohnEcash February 12, 2013, 8:03 pm
Yes, other then wearing shoes. Ember does not like to wear shoes, fuck shoes.
    - ember February 12, 2013, 8:08 pm
    Shoes are definitely overrated.
    - Curuba February 13, 2013, 7:45 am
As a champion of being fair that you are, I ask that you look at the person who is now trolling me on this post. As of yet, I am trying to follow the tos. Please help me stay on the good path by helping others understand what is and is not acceptable. I would prefer this not to escalate since I want this post to be about helping people in 3rd world countries. I don't want it to be a post about me, you, or anyone except the ones in need of help. Thank you for your consideration of my plea for fair application of the tos.
    - NotJohnEcash February 13, 2013, 11:03 am
While I must say that is a very noble action you are taking, you still manage to insult me. What makes you so much better than us "liberal atheist ass hats"? You act as if we're terrible people, yet you can't seem to go a single post, even on a post like this with the best intentions, without calling us names - something you complained about terribly on my religous debate posts. Hypocrite.
    - TheRussianBadger February 14, 2013, 11:10 am
I never said all liberals were bad people. Being of African American decent I know plenty of good liberals, in my family even. I grew up a liberal, then I went into the military and now own my own small business. So don't get it twisted by assuming things I never said.

Well done, you have left you anger on the other post. while i am sure you dont agree with notjohn, you agreed with the message and was able to separate the man from the message. a logical conclusion. In doing so, that makes you the bigger man in my eyes.
    - Churchill February 13, 2013, 10:56 am
I don't hold anything against him. we disagree on certain things and we agree on others. a man is only as good as his actions and despite personal feelings about a petty argument i'm not going to hold it against him for a good deed (in this case great deed) it's easy to point out ones short comings but good deeds are even more important to recognize and reward. in my mind this is one of the greatest things you can do to help our world, and i'm glad that he's taking the time and effort to go out and make this world a better place. anger only receives anger, while kindness receives all. him putting his kindness and good deeds out there will bring good things his way in the long run.
    - 24paperwings February 13, 2013, 11:09 am
Well said. Too bad others on this post don't feel the same way...if only there was a moderator whom could explain why offensive post are not tolerated on this site to the one being offensive on this post.
    - Churchill February 13, 2013, 11:15 am
i've spoken to one member already and they've agreed to refrain from name calling. so no further actions are needed :) we aren't here to make everyone not swear or curse or insult in every instance and normally just ask politely for the tone to return to one of discussion. the content of the convo is taken into account as well. when it reaches abusive levels and continues after the requested stop then action is necessary. as of right now it's not, hope it clears things up.

if you have a problem with another member i'd ask that you request another mod as i'm both currently indisposed and have already made my choice on actions needed. if another mod disagrees they are welcome to action, reports can be made if you feel a reply is to harsh. if a mod agrees it may be deleted and if not it may remain. we aren't cops we just make judgement calls based on the TOS. if you feel you need to argue the case for something or were punished to harshly then make a post and request someone take a look at it as johne did. in the end however the Admins have final say.

Anyways like i said the member i believe you are referring to has agreed to be a bit more civil in talking, and even agreed to edit posts. hope this helps with the problem.
    - 24paperwings February 13, 2013, 11:42 am
    Here is the one thing I have learned about this site in the last week;
Debates are ok, but rude, insulting, attacking, hateful, profane, threatening comments are not allowed. Be polite! Any offensive posts will be deleted
I am not speaking about notjohnecash...this time. I am speaking about curuba. Lets not replace one troll with another and the curuba is clearly harassing on this post. This new troll is clearly breaking the tos as as any on this post. Rules are not to be just enforced for those you like or against those you don't like. they must be universal if fairness is a concern on this site. I for one would enjoy a chance to have the community be polite per the tos for the first time since I came to the site. If you are too busy to perform your duties on this site, I would suggest you find a suitable replacement.
Though I do fear I may just have to stop posting again, felling that equal enforcement of the tos is not paramount to the powers that be. I have said my peace and will leave it at that. Lets just hope curuba has not replaced notjohnecash as the sites new troll master.
    - Churchill February 13, 2013, 8:05 pm
difference between Johne and curuba is that when asked to tame his posts curuba agreed to stop posting to him on here. if one is respectful and does this i tend not to delete the posts, it was my judgement call and would have been applied the same way to johne had he done so. if curuba had continued his posts too would have been deleted and if it continued after that his account would have been banned. this is the exact same set of steps johne went through the difference being johne continued while curuba stopped. these rules are applied universally to all as they always have been.
also i do have a life outside of the site. when i'm on im on when i'm not i'm not. there are no set hours or days that i am required to be on here. a mod is a volunteer, we aren't paid and we do this for the site using our own time. there are 41 mods for this site, and some are more discreet than others. however if you have a problem i'm sure one will be happy to assist just as i am. :)
The TOS is enforced as fairly as possible and to be honest everyone of the mods on here does an outstanding job in trying to solve problems and quell any conflict. in some cases it doesn't work but i can say that i believe each and every mod enforces the TOS as best they can while still allowing people to enjoy the site. when it comes to these complaints i don't pick favorites, but i am extremely lenient on the TOS so long as the member breaking them cooperates and doesn't further break the TOS after being approached. I hated having to enforce them with Johne and gave him multiple chances to let the issue die. he persisted so the ban was enacted.
in curubas case the reports were filed and you asked me personally to do something about it. I did and he agreed to stop, i've left the posts reported up for another mod to look at as you've reported him but after speaking to him i don't feel it necessary to take any other action. as i've said though i'm not the only mod so if another feels they should be taken down it's up to them. if you wish to contact another mod and request action you may but i can't promise any action will be taken. i hope this clears things up and you enjoy your night :)
    - 24paperwings February 13, 2013, 8:51 pm
73.33 % of Churchills responses have been in some sort of relation to johnecash's (now NotJohnecash's) posts over the past 3 years. I sense a double account. Such sorcery, do not be fooled 24paperwings.
    - poopiteepoop February 13, 2013, 10:15 pm
Ahh the sharenator witch hunt. I wondered when the next One would happen. Here is a wonderful example of why I don't post often. Not wanting to be part of the childish games here I stay silent most of the time. While its true I do mostly post with JohnEcash due to the fact that he rarely post about zombies and other childish notions. I keep hoping the site will mature but it would appear some members don't want that to happen. Don't worry, not having the time, will or want to be part of what ever child's game you are playing, ill no longer post. This site is many things but friendly is not one of them.
    - Churchill February 14, 2013, 2:51 am
Ok Johne, see you later on a different account,

    - poopiteepoop February 14, 2013, 4:56 am
lol i'm well aware that it's likely johne but i'm also not positive and actually so long as he's civil and not using the account to cheat i don't care to much :)
if it is him then this is the best example and discussion we've had about the topic to date and if it's not then it's hopefully provide Johne insite to the workings of the mods and rules of the site. in either case i'm happy to talk and help out with all the members of the site no matter the account.
in the long run i'm not going to hold the argument against him and i'm not going to punish another account for the actions taken on another one, especially one that hasn't actually done anything wrong. so long as the convo doesn't just become about insulting each other then i really don't have much to do. i've answered his questions and concerns and gave him instruction as to how to handle it with other mods as i wasn't available. i've even let him know whats been done to address his concerns. like i always say i'm happy to help :)
    - 24paperwings February 14, 2013, 12:45 pm
Yeah, I was mostly pointing it out in case he thought he was fooling anyone with such a poor display.
    - poopiteepoop February 14, 2013, 12:59 pm
I love it, even when I am on international flights without the net you think it's me. I hope you assume that anyone who agrees with me, is really me. I also hope you know that anyone who disagrees with you is also me. Well I won't be posting again for a while, the Internet inane around hochimen city is spotty at best, but while you are busy labeling people's, I am busy installing water purification systems for 3rd world people. Have a great day and keep up making the world a better place, oh wait that's me not you.
    - NotJohnEcash February 15, 2013, 12:54 am
    My hero.... LOL
    - poopiteepoop February 15, 2013, 2:45 pm
So my question to you is as follows. Is your disdain for me more important to you than the cause I am promoting? ie a post about helping people has nothing to do with you or me, yet it appears that is the topic you want to discuss. Please tell me what I have done on this site, good or bad, that is more important than clean water?
    - NotJohnEcash February 16, 2013, 9:42 am
Johne Johne John John, I was merely pointing out your lack of subtleness when it comes to cheating (as we all know you cheat due to the amount of points the spambot had to take off your last account).

I have nothing against your Water is Life thing. I grew up in a 3rd world country, Nigeria to be precise, so trust me I know better than most people (including you probably) the shit that goes on there, and I have done my fair share towards it.
    - poopiteepoop February 16, 2013, 11:18 am
Knowing what you claim to know then its a shame that your hatred of me is more important to you than my cause. You made a choice and it was not to donate or post a link on how to help others. Your choice that is most important to you is hate.
What makes your hate all the more petty is the fact that you have lots of other places that I post to go on your hate rant, but would rather change the topic from clean water to your hatred of me.
A wise man once said, “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
    - NotJohnEcash February 16, 2013, 4:37 pm
I've never said I hated you johne, a couple of times I've even said that you're alright. You just need to get over yourself a little bit mate, then I think you will lead a much happier life.

If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here for you bro, don't forget that.

Don't let me waste anymore of you're time, have a good trip, and take it easy

PS Curious that you're sending messages at 4 am Vietnam time. Just sayin.

Where abouts are you in Asia?

This week Malaysia, next week Vietnam. We are installing water purification systems and giving out polio vaccinations. Yes it's a church group, but no bibles are being passed out. Only medicine and clean water.

A matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome.
A thing difficult to achieve or accomplish.

Solution, USMC. There are few problems we can't fix. We are either your best friend, or your worst nightmare.
