For td;lr look at last sentence :)

Okay Okay Okay, to be frank this is complete bullcrap. I agree teachers should be paid more, but in addition teachers should care more (thats besides the point). This guy, Walter White, screwed himself over. I watched the first season and am enthralled by the second season, but this guy's problem was not money. His best friend offered to pay his treatment IN FULL, heck he offered an awesome job for pete's sake! The moral of breaking bad is that pride will fuck you over at every turn! hes making meth because he doesnt want charity? Are you serious? I don't know how many people he has killed, but so far the body count is at 3, not to mention his wrecked family relationship (I'm at like season 2 episode 6). He had plenty of opportunity in the first season to make a life for himself and his family other than making METH.

In conclusion, the moral of this series is not to "pay teacher's more;" the moral is, "Do not be consumed with pride, it will destroy you!!!" Walter's problems would had been solved season 1 episode 7 by taking the job his friend offered, but he decided to be guided by his own stupidity and pride.

dont get me wrong it makes for great story though

He just saw that he loves to be bad. As he called it- at least I felt alive. The feeling that death is close makes people do crazy things. I remember when I was waiting my operation, with success ratio of 99.9999999% and I still spent that summer waiting little bit differently, and if someone would tell me you will probably die very soon I don't know what I would do with my life but for sure I wouldn't be spending it as I am at this moment. So he didn't want to have a regular job, with regular routine because death was coming for him anyway.
