My Rant

1) So some girl complain how guys can be dicks. Well those girls don't realize that... They can be dicks too...

So here's a real life example of how a girl can be... a dick

They say there single and always go to you for help. You give them advice and you start to grow on them. You realize that you like her and she's with some douchebag guy that's her "Boyfriend". So after they break up she gets emotional. And guess who she goes to... The only person... You. And you build up there courage to tell her you liked her for so long. She just screams "I had it with men! I'm quitting with dating for a bit." Inside you is just like 9/11 for the heart. All of you tears down and just...Go blank.... So lesson here.... Girls, realize what your doing and the people who are around you. ONe of your closest friends may have a crush on you.

Shout Outs: Every guy/girl that had this done to them +3 this note and comment on your response to this

2) So 22% of teenagers that have depression most likely commits suicide. People who make fun of these depressed people are just making it worse. I mean... Just stop with it... There already sad and YOU just might that person go with the 22%. So people calling them "Emo" or anything like that just stop it... I got 2 reasons why you should stop the bullying

1. Suicide... I see these things on the news where teenagers have committed suicide from bullying... An example.... (Real Story) A kid named Jeremy.... Killed himself... Daddy didn't give attention. The fact that Mommy didn't care... He was getting pushed around by other little kids.... In pools of maroon below... What's the color of blood? Maroon... He was late to class and the teacher told him to get a pass... He came back with a Revolver... He said "I got what I needed"... Put the gun in his mouth... And pulled the trigger... This was on the news all over the country at this time... Facing the fact that the kid was in Elementary... A famous band called "Pearl Jam" found this news and made a song for this boy named after him... Go to Youtube and search "Jeremy Music Video"... Not so long ago I saw something else like this where a kid tried to attempt suicide by jumping off the school. Still in elementary... Now we even got new ways to bully... Cyber Bullying... Bullying on the internet... I thin 3 or more reports have been on Teens commiting suicide from bullying online... So thing is... Don't bully someone... It'll lead to depression then to suicide... And if your the cause then you'll be the one in trouble....

2. Ya just got it wrong... Emo does mean emotional... Whoever told you that should be shot in the head... If you listen to all types of music like me then you'll learn something about it... Emo doesn't mean emotional... Emo goes to the history of Metal genre musics.... Punk was invented and people wanted something different. So Emo was born... So don't get it wrong... Emo is a type of music not a fucking personality.... And for people who do cut themself just leave them alone.... They do it for a reason... Just let them do what they want... So lesson here... Stop the bullying

I usually try not to be so harsh but this 98% is wrong. Id say like 10% are actually the depressed the rest are just pussies doing it for attention.

I agree, so many kids in America (possibly in other countries as well) are being babied way to much. People need to man the fuck up and get over shit.
    - xlivewire7x March 26, 2011, 7:52 am
Couldn't agree more with either of you
    - imfrikknbad March 26, 2011, 10:14 am
Agreed on this, but +3 for effort and some info that emo is a type of music. That's some interesting stuff there
    - mariofox03 March 26, 2011, 10:42 am
I can agree with that. I haven't really met any "depressed" kid who actually had a god reason to be depressed. I have met countless people who act like their life sucks because "My mom doesn't understand me", or " I hate parents! They don't love me! They won't even buy me a car!".

    These people make me rage.
    - drakengard85 March 26, 2011, 1:36 pm
ohhh SOOO many of those people around, ya know who the ones are who are highest risk for suicide and shit, not the kids who dress in black and wear makeup thats a fashion style to get attention, its the kids who look just like everyone else they dress like everyone and act like everyone, unless you're their friends or related to them chances are you will never know. THOSE are the people that need help they are exceptionally good at hiding that anything's wrong with them thats why they have problems, teens who dress all in black and cut themselves to "find a release" can go fuck off
    - Tremp20k March 26, 2011, 1:54 pm
....I wasn't denying that their are people out there that are genuinely depressed, I was just saying that most of the people I meet who say they are depressed, really aren't.

To restate, there ARE people who are depressed, and with good reason (for example, their dad beats them, they get jumped after school, their siblings were shot in a drive-by, etc.)

And then there are also people who who just want people to think they are deep and emotional. I agree that these people should go fuck off.
    - drakengard85 March 26, 2011, 2:09 pm
was a lil worried everyone would rage at me. Just wanted to voice my opinion. nice to know im not alone

i agree with alot of this but i think sometimes people will just act depressed or cut themselves just for attention. which is another problem in itself.
also, i did that to a guy. and then he did the same thing back to me. its not a fun thing, i feel horrible for what i did. but you move on.
    good post tho bud! +3

Same. I been through both of these and felt like writing about it.

1st - Half your facts are made up, clearly 98% of children with depression do not commit suicide. Most simply don't know how to at this age.
2nd - You're commenting on being accepting of all music only to later insult pop-music which is an equally ignorant thing to do.
3rd - have you ever wondered that maybe your aiming too high or that there is a reason that a girl only considers you a friend?
    4th - I don't like posts like this.

    Lol at 4th

as for the first paragraph, i agree for the most part. the problem is, is that woman aren't mind readers, neither are men. communication jim-likes-susan is hard because your afraid of rejection. girls, they turn blinds eye and sometimes turn heartless when they find out you like them. but for guys, you gotta realize if a girl comes back saying she doesnt like you they way you like them, you have to let it go. guys are at fault for their persistence.standing at one closed door blinds you from all the open ones around you.

as far as the suicide, it is becoming almost an epidemic. this is attributed to the way people are raised in this country. back then, schools were lax and if you got into a fight, that was it. now, its jim-made-fun-of-chris and so chris-punched-jim but then jim wins in the court for assault. america doesnt run off of duncan, it runs off a irregular court system where if you mention a few prior cases in a court case YOULL WIN!

as far as the emo statement, it wasnt needed. get shot in the head? didnt you just get done talking about suicide? isnt homicide just as bad? and as far as justin, gaga and drake are concerned, maybe it isnt music to you, but to others it is. plus, they did make it big in the -what- business? right.

alot of emotion in this post, but thats what ranting is usually composed of =]

ps- punk came first (see: ramones (1978)), then emo (see:jawbreaker (1986)), THEN screamo (see: the casualties (early 90's))

I put the Emo part so people get it right. Also I didn't knew it happeed like that. I heard a diffrent story :)

I agree with the first part but the girl was probably a B**ch anyway thats usually how it is you would be better off finding someone that is interested in the same stuff as you and most likely the nerdy guy would look or act nothing like the stupid douchecanoe guy. What are popular girls interested in not anything much like what the nerdy guy likes.(and it's more of a physical attraction with the douchcanoe).

As for suicide, I've contemplated it once hasn't any teen? I found it to be extremely selfish and hurt a lot of people. You may here this a thousand times but it's a simple solution to a complex problem. I've delt with and still deal with depression and what made me feel better? not listening to the music that I did (scremo and heavy metal) but listening to something more upbeat and relate able like Cage the Elephant or something mind numbing like Dubstep. to me music is a big part of how I deal.

I'm assuming by your rant that you most likely are part of the 'Emo' culture and might cut or not it is not totally clear. I'll address the 'Emo' part first. In your rant you did'nt clearly define what you thought 'Emo' was except that it didn't mean emotional. Yet later in your rant you described Emo music as having emotions in the music. (if you read this please elaborate your view) From my experiences (high school) I found that their were people who dressed in black and dyed their hair and wore makeup at first glance you would label them as 'Emo or Goth'. As for cutting I never saw the appeal. You cut to relieve stress correct yet the pain causes stress on your body and to me the whole thing seems like a painful ordeal.

I can't really supply information on bullying because I actually never have been to my knowledge. or at least not in significant amounts. I usually treat all insults like a joke and shrug it off it won't really bother me because I'm a rational individual I know why and what someone would say to me.

Before you downrate me why don't you tell me where my argument went wrong.

I sort of agree with the first statement, but the truth is guys do the same thing. I have had best friends that are girls that i have complained about my girlfriend to or gone to for general help only to find out they liked me later. When i only thought of them as a really good friend, that had nothing to do with a physical relationship. That is really what it comes down to in this situation.

As for suicide, I think it is a very touchy subject. You can say that they are doing it for attention or whatever but until you know exactly what they are feeling and their thoughts you cannot pass judgement on it. But on the other hand, when you blame it on a kid that made fun of you; I think that is wrong. Who gives a shit what the prick football player says?(excuse my language)You should care what he thinks, you should only take your friend's, that understand and knows you, opinion.

As for what "Emo" means, it is technically a slang term. Which mean it has an evolved meaning. So according to the slang used by mostly american teens "Emo" does mean emotional, or is a term used to title kid that cut and wear black and dye their hair. It is much like how teens use "Gay" as a slang term. When you hear a kid say "Wow, homework is so gay!" They obviously don'y mean that their homework is attracted to homework of the same sex.

PS I don't think the "shot in the head" comment was necessary. But i suppose everyone can have their own opinion; otherwise i wouldn't be posting a counter argument...

    Shouldn't* care what he thinks.
    - dreed34 March 26, 2011, 1:26 pm
dreed34, you are completely wrong about him being completely wrong. You see, Homework is, in fact, Asexual. Therefore, the term "gay" would apply to all homework.

PS I don't think the "Wow, Homework is so gay" comment was necessary. Although, everyone has their own opinion; otherwise this wouldn't be a counter-counter argument.
    - FireRoastedFire March 26, 2011, 4:40 pm
you do not agree with me? or just feel like being a troll?
    - dreed34 March 27, 2011, 9:45 am
I take no sides. Just a joke dude. A phrase I live by, "Laughter is the purest form of joy. Even when fake, it puts a smile on your face." - FireRoastedFire. The only reason I quote myself is because I saved a friend from ending himself with those words.
    - FireRoastedFire March 28, 2011, 2:51 am
oh i don't take offense was just curious as to where the comment was coming from.

women are irresponsible when it comes to love and inevitably push the perfect person for them away because of their reckless romantics.
If it were 98% of depressed teens that committed suicide I would most likely gone the way of Kurt Cobain and use a loaded shotgun for a bong, bullying sucks but it's a fact of life that we need to deal with, but to say that bullying leads to depression and then depression leads to suicide is like saying driving drunk leads crashing into a telephone pole and that leads nuclear war and thus omnicide. it's completely irrational. just my thoughts on it sorry if i sound like an asshole.

My situation is that I'm friends with a girl that said she likes me. At first I didn't like her, I just thought she was annoying. Then we started hanging out and texting and talking (on the phone) and I got to know her better. I started liking her. She asked me if I did and I said yes. One night we stayed on the phone for four hours just talking. She said that she likes me too, etc. Problem is she loves her douchebag boyfriend who doesn't want to lose her, but yet a friend of mine told me he said that he was done with her (they had broken up for like the 50th time). She said that she likes me, but she doesn't love me. She's also told me before that she doesn't care if they break up this time, etc., but she stills go back to him every time. I don't what to do. I told her that I wouldn't make her choose between the both of us (me and her boyfriend). What should I do? Honestly, I think I've fallen in love with this girl.

Honestly. There is very little that you can do. If they break up and get back together as always then tell her that ain't gonna work. Things like that is a small opportunity that can be passed. Ask her out while she is single and she might say yes. But as one of my favorite quotes from my grandpa, he said Every action comes with a punishment. So if she says yes then you have problems with her old boyfriend. If she says no then... I dunno...
    - 6DIG6 March 26, 2011, 3:17 pm
Thing is: I don't want to ask her out when she just got out of a relationship.
    - XxDaminalsxX March 26, 2011, 3:20 pm

    - 6DIG6 March 26, 2011, 4:04 pm
