Martial arts?

Just wondering if anyone does or has done a martial art at some point in their life?

I do Shotokan Karate, which is a certain style of karate that was created by combining all sorts of martial arts together by a guy called Gichin Funakoshi in Japan back in the 1930's.

I've been doing it for 9 years now and am a black belt 2nd Dan (Nidan) and would defiantly recommend it to anyone who was looking to start a sport.

Also, I am very interested in other styles in martial arts and was just wondering if any of you did anything.

This is me after a recent competition: (I don't want it to look like I'm bragging about the trophies, it's the only decent picture I have of me!)

you spelt it right. One lesson shouldn't really count, but i'll let you off lol. Random fact: Taekwondo actually means 'to strike or break with foot'

i did judo for 4 years and reached the grade of 15th mon, top blue, also got a national medal. It's a very good martial art to do

I agree, in fact I think that most martial arts are the best sport you can do for both mental and physical fitness.

i went to college, then joined the marines, and well when i came back home 10 years later i never picked it back up. the man who used to train me is no longer with us, nor is his do-jo. one of the happiest days in my life was being presented with my black belt. i finished as a 4th degree black belt. martial arts will always remind me of my younger days. i need to find a new place and train there.

Of course it counts, even though you only did it for a while, at least you tried it.

    1. Leave house
    2. Live somewhere away from your dad, get nice job.
    3. Complete your life's goals without hassle, because from what I've heard you're a little restrained from doing that, and I really feel sorry for you. Pretty sure most of the other people on Sharenator do too :)
    4. ????????
    5. Profit
