LOL! what do you think about this?

So im kinda peeved off right now.
here is how the situation goes...

>be me, at work.
>co-worker bust our singing " bless my my soul, Herc is on a roll" like one of the muses from Disney's herculese
> I automatically say "oh Christ" out of instinct.
> she says it offends her, and that if I said it in front of some of the clients they would beat me with their purse.
>I reply, "well I figured I was censoring myself at work because I doubt saying 'for fuck sake' would be un professional"
> she replied " well if you can censor it to 'oh Chris't why not something like 'oh coconuts' its up to you to change it to whatever you want.

WTF is she thinking? this makes me want to just say "for fuck sake" like I normally do.

thoughts? comments? would you be offended if someone said oh Christ?

Personally, no it doesn't offend me, i'm not religious

and not all religious people are offended by this

    but everyone's different.
It offends her, so i don't see harm in just, not saying it

Why should he change just to please her? if she doesn't like it, she just has to ignore it

How quickly would your reply change if you found out this lady was offended because she didn't believe in Christ and believes His name shouldn't be mentioned in a public setting?

i see literally no harm to him for not saying it
    but she doesn't like it
why not just be a nice person and do something that someone wants?

i'm offended by your arguing. please cease talking.

    same principle, different subject.

She should suck it up and deal with it, I don't believe in christ, I believe the oppressive side of religion shouldnt be in public, but if they want to sign songs about him/other thigns then hell by all means go for it. Its their life, I wont direct my beliefs on someone for saying a few simple words.... If they were trying to crucify someone OR directing hatred at someone because of their beleif, that would be a different point entirely

If you use the name of any deity in any form, you are bound to piss someone off. Saying "Oh, Christ!" can be thought to be taking the Lord's name in vain. Some of us Christian folk don't take too kindly to that. Or, if you are to say it in a way that even resembles worship, then you are singling out one specific deity and excluding all others in a work-area, which pisses off atheist, Muslims, Jews, non-theists, etc.

If you wish to remain apart from anyone ever being offended by the words you choose to utter, simply keep your mouth shut and never speak again. Or...just say eff it, and do what pleases you, so long as you aren't bringing harm to other people. Ya digg, bruh?

this is just the tip of the iceberg... I was on lunch watching youtube at my desk, quietly. and she hands me these short ass headphones, with a smug look on her face, and im like " these wont reach from the cpu" and she replied " then lean over so they reach."

she also complains that my flip flops stink, (which they do but she complains about everything)
and I have an oral fixation, so I end up chewing on plastic pen caps, water bottle tops... and she calls me out on it every time really loud like "what are you chewing on!"

you should ask her if she enjoy's flirting with you next time she says it really loud. should be pretty embarrassing and i bet your co-workers will smile a bit

Try less offensive profanity with the same shock value
"Cockles, poppycock, shank, buttons, puck pus, funnels, nuggets, shifts"
    Idfk really.
    I'm sober.
    Life's hard.

just a butt hurt throat filled with jesus cock christian (some are quite decent, this one just seems to be a complainer and takes any opportunity to complain about something) . pay her no mind. So fucking what if it offends her? Her being offended is just her own insecurities in action. She can be offended, but you arent the one that needs to make sure it doesn't happen.

    what's wrong with you?

something offends someone else and they've asked you to do it

just be a good person and....don't do it
it's not like it's hurting you in anyway not to do it
    - Fail4424 September 25, 2013, 8:35 am
its the point of the matter, I go out of my way to censor myself as it is. only to be chastised and told I need to censor myself further?

when she sings annoyingly or eats smelly food I don't sit there and say, hey... why don't you shut the fuck up and eat your shitty food in the lunch room?

because that shit offends my ears and nose... I cant just ignore that shit, I have to suffer through it.

You must be new to planet earth. once we start making small leways for the small few, we keep doing it until we cant even speak without offending someone. so no, he shouldnt have to change anything. It hurts our freedom of speech "I'm sorry I thought this was 'Murica"
