Edit: Unfortunately, too late now it would seem.
Directly Quoted from Blog - the Oatmeal = http://theoatmeal.com/blog

"Operation BearLove Good, Cancer Bad ended early this morning with total funds raised at $220,024.00 -- almost exactly 11 times the original goal of $20k. IndieGoGo takes 4%, so that puts the total money going to charity at $211,223.04. "
"Carreon has provided notice that he intends to ask the court for a restraining order which will stop the transfer of funds from Indiegogo. If we can't get that silly bullshit dismissed, the money could be held up for days, weeks or months. Assuming we can, I should have the money in about a week. "
"Once the money is moved, I still plan on withdrawing $211k in cash and taking a photo to send to Charles Carreon and FunnyJunk, along with the drawing of Funnyjunk's mother. After the photo is mailed I'll be sending checks to the charities. I'll also post receipts as well as public confirmations from both charities that they received every penny that was promised."

We still however believe that we would be correct in stating that all of Sharenator and it's many members, both registered and not, support The Oatmeal against FunnyJunk and hope he will come out ahead in the legal disputes and continue to produce the many comics and generalized artwork we've all come to know and love.

Well, I definitley am. FunnyJunk have taken it way to far with this. I don't wanna get downvoted and flamed for saying this, but (stereotypically) Americans think that all problems are solved via lawsuits. I'm not saying this is a bad thing - it's your culture. In the same way the US think the Japanese have some strange adverts, TV and so on (or even that Canada is different), the rest of the world see the US as a bunch of large people who sue people for sneezing near them.

This lawsuit, though bad at first, has now become outrageous. The Oatmeal refuses to pay the compensation, and instead fundraises it and gives it to charity. And FunnyJunk want to now sue two charities, the fundraising website AND The Oatmeal.

    Fucking stupid.

Haha, I was watching "supersize me" the other day - and some french person in New York said the same thing :D

But then again - these people were suing McDonalds for making them fat.

Movies like Supersize me tend to be more of slated propaganda films. We enjoy fast food from Wendys more often then we should (Out of lack of time for cooking) and are still hovering around 110lbs.
