Have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1

So because I bought my laptop with original windows, they let me upgrade to windows 8.1 for free. So I did it out of curiosity. It took 2 hours to download, and hour to upgrade my operation system.

I see only two changes which appeared. Now there is "Start" button on the left. And they have deleted my pinned "Google Chrome" browser and replaced it with "Internet Explorer". Way to go Microsoft.

there are many more changes they have made. and they solved my incompatability issues with programs. I like the 8.1 better than regular 8

I think the 8 sucks as well.

it takes getting used to but if you know how to use a computer already it is quick to learn and easy to master once you know the in's and outs.

    change is not always bad

First I really liked Windows 7 then Windows 8 looked even better. And now I'm thinking that I have to switch back to linux. Many years passed by since I've used it on my personal machine. I don't know what, but when I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 something started annoying me. Maybe that thing that they tried to force me to use Internet Explorer. The thing that when I look up for skype, they suggest me to run Skype for metro, and that I can't run because I don't remember my microsoft live account password. And since when skype needs microsoft live account?

Why can't you just unpin IE from taskbar, and pin the browser of your choice to the taskbar? You're going to switch Operating systems over something that takes literally 5 seconds to change?

This is not the only thing. My laptop hardrive seems to have hard times, since I've installed windows 8. Maybe it's hard drive problem, or maybe windows over use it.

And Chrome switch to IE it just proves how they are trying control you. I guess they believe that someone who upgrades to 8.1 and someone else who has added chrome as their default browser, wouldn't see the difference and starts using IE.
