    because of the GEMA
I dont know actually how that works with them motherfuckers.
All I know is that they "protect" the copyrights of musicians and stuff. That is why clubs have to pay a lot of money when they want to play music and other shops in which music is played have to pay. So that the musicians get money for their songs that are played in public.
Something like that, it is a bit too late to really read every shit about them and tell you.

There are ways to get around that stupid shit. Proxyservers or something like that, but I am not sure how legal that stuff is. I think a friend got caught using this because a few days ago it stopped working now he has this GEMA shit again.
There are sometimes other reasons UMG or generally not available in germany. Not sure why exactly.

The only reason I know of, why it is in germany not available, is when the album hasn't come out yet in germany or europe.

Hey but it is still better than in north korea XD

haha yeas, still better than North Korea :P

this GEMA you're saying, that's an actual organisation then?
when my friend kept saying that it was "the gema are blocking it" or "stupid gema" and i just thought it was an abbreviation for Germany, but it's an actual company blocking all these videos?
    bloody Gema!! :/

btw it's not for songs that havn't come out yet in Germany, some of the things i sent were made ages ago, and some of them aren't even songs

    it's just bloody ridiculous!

no I think when it says "not available in germany" it is because it haven't come out yet. When it says "not available because Gema" then it is because of something with copyright

I cant really find out why they do it. There are some right problems or something I dont know.
And it seems actually GEMA isn't working with youtube anymore, because youtube didn't give any money to the ones who have the copyright.
Because they are talking with GEMA about a contract youtube actually closed most of the videos because there COULD be any copyrights problems. Only 8% of the videos actually have really a copyright problem and should be closed, not 61% which youtube closed.

    "not 61% which youtube closed"
they closed off 61% of videos in Germany that are on youtube?! :O
    - Fail4424 April 17, 2013, 11:04 am
well yeah that is what it said on the article I read.
Something about the contract only went to 2009 and since then they are arguing because youtube kept the money. But because youtube is open for the GEMA they already closed off every video where there could be copyright problems. And because the GEMA has no influance at the moment youtube does this, probably to show GEMA "look we actually want you" . But youtube probably only wants the money, they dont give it to the artists.

We are talking about music videos and videos that involves music.
