'Bama's Utopia (according to a redneck)

I just want to know what is true and what you think about this.
First of all #7 actually is a good method and is thought in universities, some american president came up with this idea decades ago.

Not my opinion, I dont know that much about what is going on in 'merica. But I think some points are problems 'merica had for years and it's is not like that it is Obamas fault.

Jim King
Obama's Utopia

1. You can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for being in the country illegally…

2. You have to get your parents permission to go on a field trip or take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion…

3. You have to show identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book, but not to vote…

4. The government wants to ban stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines with more than ten rounds, but gives 20 F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt...

5. In our largest city, you can buy "two" 16-ounce sodas, but not a 24-ounce soda because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat…

6. An 80-year-old woman and 3 yr old child can be stripped searched by the TSA, but a woman in a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched…

7. Your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more…

8. A seven year old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is cute, but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable…

9. Children are forcibly removed from parents who discipline them with spankings while children of addicts are left in filth and drug infested homes…

10. Hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, while not working is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing, and free cell phones…

11. You pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big screen TV while your neighbor buys iPhones, TVs and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage…

12. Being stripped of the ability to defend yourself makes you more safe according to the government,…

most of these already existed. unfortunately most of the ones that are security conscious are obama's administration and the government during the last couple years.

im not a big fan of obama, or feinstein or anyone who makes me feel safer living next to a drug dealer than next to an elected official...
    just sayin'

    1. I think its dumb that you need a license to fish. Also dumb how accepting we are of illegal immigrants.

    2. Why would you need parents permission if you're an adult?

    3. Part of the effort to get more people to vote, leads to more fraud but doubtful it makes any difference overall.

    4. Or how about giving guns to Mexican drug cartels which led to a federal agent death?

    5. Not really Obama's doing but a liberal's doing nonetheless, I find it stupid.

    6. Somehow I think this one has been exaggerated slightly, lol.

    7. Keynesian Economics, debatable which economic theory works best.

    8. Seems exaggerated to me.

    9. Being from Texas, I know many people who were spanked and not removed. The problem with CPS is that they only know to investigate what is reported to them in terms of child abuse.

    10. I don't think that's entirely fair, but I must admit the EBT card does buy all my food and then some while I go to college and I don't pay any taxes.

    11. Not knowledgeable on this.

    12. Gov. has their position on gun control backwards. I can't ever see gun control happening in America.

#2, i'd hazard a guess at most abortions, or at least a significant number, are by women under the age of 18.

#3, no id required, illegals are voting for the person who will make them a citizen and give them stuff.

#6, it's not really exaggerated, both 80+ and -3 can be strip searched by TSA. the woman in the hijab(or whatever) isn't subject to the same standards because she's following a different culture/religion etc. and it's "infringing"

#10, Hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government intrusion, this is true
welfare and gov't housing are major drains on the economy(obviously) since they are taxpayer funded handouts, NOT ENTITLEMENTS! personally i say stop welfare checks at 2 kids, cause if a single mom is collecting welfare on 6 kids of her own and she only had 2 when she lost her job. i'm sorry, but genocide may be required

just throwin out what i've got, no offense
    - MIKYTEY March 28, 2013, 10:08 pm
#2 Well then you'd be wrong: source, or if you like reading only 15% of all abortions are from women aged 15-19, and 63% of those abortions are from women aged 18-19. It should be noted that both websites I linked to provide slightly different data since one is for the year 2008 and one is for the year 2009.

#3 I think you could also argue that some rednecks might be voting more than once too. I think the lax voting requirements are more of a push to get young people to vote. (But I haven't really looked into this too much)

#6 What's so hard about just taking the xray for the TSA? I remember the last time I flew I didn't even have to raise my arms. All I could find on google is an article about an Islamic group that is trying to fight TSA's full body pat downs for hijab women, nowhere saying the TSA has actually agreed with them? Care to give me a source?

#10 I also agree that if someone is abusing the handout system they should be denied, or at least limited.

    1. It's quite common in some areas throughout the world to need a license to fish, as the areas could have small fish populations or host threatened species. It's not dumb, it's to not over fish and exploit nature. Fishing license regulations only apply to certain areas, if you don't want to get one, just go and fish somewhere that doesn't require one, as there are plenty of places for that.
    - poopiteepoop March 29, 2013, 10:35 am
very true. and unfortunately very much needed. we have to many people to allow it to be a free for all. the environment is teetering as is.
    - 24paperwings March 29, 2013, 2:42 pm
Actually, in the USA, you can't fish anywhere without a license. I think it should be that way for commercial fishers and stuff like that, but I really don't see why you need to pay the gov to fish even if it's on your own property.
    - casper667 March 29, 2013, 3:30 pm
#2, alright, i was just guessing cause i see more of what appear to be underage.

#3, i dont know many rednecks that vote once let alone multiple times. not arguin, just sayin.

#6, i've been stripped once and it was a random "no you can't go through the xray, we have to do it" check. i'd also say that the TSA, being a gov't agency, would be adverse to the idea of a lawsuit. because apparently now you can sue for almost any reason.
    - MIKYTEY March 29, 2013, 4:41 pm
You can't sue the government except in a few specific cases, so the TSA does not have to worry about a lawsuit (unless suing an individual agent).
    - casper667 March 30, 2013, 11:44 am
thats also a legitimate concern, although i'm sure someone will figure out how to sue the govt... or the airline... or the airport itself... or the city that own it... etc

You know, I could easily dismantle this, but simply saying "Hahaha, dumb redneck!" feels more appropriate.

sometimes rednecks arent overexaggerating so maybe there has been some truth in it. Just wanted to know XD
    - Vans March 29, 2013, 4:48 pm
Well, I consider this to be a healthy mix of strawmen and bullshit. I'm afraid trying to analyze it will make my brain cells commit suicide. Doesn't really deserve the attention other than for lulz.

1.) completely needed, we have to many people to allow hunting with out a license. environmentally speaking you have no idea the impacts that hunting can have on a species. there's a reason so many animals are going extinct recently. seriously they are calling this the 6th mass extinction. if anything i disagree about illegal immigrants. anyone has the right to live where ever they choose, so long as it doesn't pose a danger to health of the population (meaning if where they choose to live is going to make it dangerous for someone else then safety takes priority) there shouldn't even be boarders, i get people are insane but isolation is dangerous.
2.) women do have rights, though i agree they should have parental consent (if underage and living with parent/guardian if not it's their choice)
3.) voting = human right in america. you're human, you live here, you can vote. that simple.
4.) Government is dumb, but we've become the "police" of the world for some reason. they need to maintain allies for this reason so Egypt is essential. personally i want a withdrawal from power and a focus on the country playing a slightly more minor role globally. doing so would allow us to maintain power without dropping it completely (which is where we are headed) trying to hold tighter will only cause it to slip away. relax, sit back, and work together rather than demand it our way.
5.) dumb law, fuck them. fat people should work out. if they don't then its a self inflicted injury and shouldn't give them an excuse. there is no reason for our high levels of obesity other than people are becoming lazier/ eating unhealthy. some people are born bigger yes. but the levels we are at are not naturally occurring. i half think that the work loads are getting to be to much of a strain on people and they physically can't bring themselves to exercise. there needs to be a balance and people need to understand exercise is needed to stay healthy.
6.) idk different TSA agents? people are morons within the agency. blame the individuals in this case for the 80 year old and child. big deal about the women in the hijab, it's clothing. discriminating based on that is just as stupid as discriminating based on height. unless you have a reason to think they're dangerous then they are just a regular person. nothing more.
7.) bailout saved our asses, republicans keep blocking everything, we have to spend to maintain functionality, fuck banks and rich assholes who hide/ steal from tax payers. in off shore banking that isn't being taxed companies have more than enough money that should be going to the gov but are hiding it because it's "their money". fuck them and fuck thats loophole. its out dated and screws the lower class people who can't afford to do the same.
8.) who ever threw them out is a fucking moron (though there may have been more to the story idk). but i like the other idea, some kids are gay, some aren't. america is very diverse.
9.) completely agre with you. spanking is not abuse. i know when i was a child it happened to me and i learned from it. pain isn't simply there to inflict harm but to teach and learn. i don't give a fuck what people say, if my child acts up or does something dangerous (runs near a road or car) then i'll spank them to teach them. it stings for a minute but they get over it. it's better they learn not to do something because they may feel pain at my hand, rather than have no consequences and wind up getting hit by a car or something. excessive force though (hitting till they are badly bruised) isn't ok though. there's a limit to what you can do and the safety of the kid needs to be considered.
10.) ummmm yea? you make more you pay more. thats completely logical. it's not a punishment, its fairness. once you have a couple million dollars there isn't even a need for more, you'd be set for life so long as you're smart about spending. those people you describe as "not working hard" often work 7 day weeks for minimum wage in cities where products are so over priced that they can't even survive on the meager amounts they are paid.
in the words of the great John Stewart- "Why is it that if you take advantage of a corporate tax break you're a smart businessman, but if you take advantage of something so you don't go hungry, you're a moocher?"
logic says that those well off don't need any extra help getting something they've already achieved. help the man who has fallen, if you do then we all can make it as well.
11.) when you are lied to about what you can afford by banks trying to screw the system then yes i think a little forgiveness is justified. however you need to have a real reason. but let me ask you this, do you know all of what happens in your neighbors lives? i sure as hell hope not. maybe they had a reason and maybe not. but thats not for you or i to judge them on. unless you have proof they are doing it purposefully then don't whine about what your neighbors finical situations. privacy is a great thing to have.
12.) and studies, and other countries that have tested this, and most people in america. it's like whining about not being able to make dynamite in your house. "well its my right!" yea but everyone else on the block doesn't want to find a new place to live once you fuck up and blow the damn street half to hell. look i get it, there are law abiding citizens. and i agree guns are a right. even the strong ones. which is why i would support making it a little harder to get the ones that are able to literally 30 people in 20 seconds flat. it seems like a reasonable solution to ask that it's difficult for people to buy objects that have the sole intention of maiming/killing other people. so i'm in support of background checks (if they need to be able to check my background to work then they certainly need to in order to purchase a fucking gun) and against the assault rifle ban. i'd rather just make it a pain in the ass to get one for the simple reason that it's logical to make stronger more dangerous weapons hard to obtain. Toss in mandatory firearms training (it's a fucking gun, not knowing how it works= dead people) and re registration every 1-2years (people can change in mental states or can get careless once they are comfortable with the weapons.it's only logical to make sure they are ok) and i'd be perfectly happy.

You wrote way too much for me to read right now but the reason why Illegals are such a problem is that they often can take advantage of our handout system (WIC, EBT, etc.) without paying anything into it. It's one of the reasons the border states get so much more handout money than the other states. I also say good luck to you getting any money if you get in a car accident with one (they don't have to pay and they likely don't have insurance, leaving it entirely up to you to get your car fixed). I personally know 2 people this has happened to (Texas, lots of them here). I'm guessing you live somewhere in the north, where it's not a huge problem?
    - casper667 March 29, 2013, 3:42 pm
I think you are right, except #5
there are many many many people that dont have to work out at all and at least look healthy (skinny).
Just saying. It is not like there aren't a bunch of people who would be fine when they would work out and eat a bit healthier.
But usually the ones telling big people to work out and eat healthy are the oney who never work out and eat a burger at least 3 times a week.
    - Vans March 29, 2013, 4:59 pm
well in the EU we have open borders, means you can work everywhere and stuff but that also means everyone has to be insured. Because of the regulations from the EU. Since the borders are open everything works a bit better, because if you are allowed to be in another country you dont have to do any illegal thinks like working without a permit or something.

It is true that there are a lot of people taking advantage of free health care and all the kind of shit we have over here, but honestly, when the borders were closed we had so many illegals getting money from the government but werent allowed to work so they had to take the money.
Now more of the people are working, because they are allowed to without getting a green card or anything.

    1. I have a fishing license because the fish hunt combo was cheaper than the 2 separate.
    2. I have no comment.
    3. licensing laws for voting help prevent voter fraud.
    4. I've lost fear of gun laws, I will always own a firearm and if they come knocking looking to disarm me they'll get what I want them to have because I can replace them easily.
    5. I hate bloomberg, he's a dirty totalitarian prick.
    6. They're lucky it's a federal offense to assault a federal employee
    7. I may believe in "you gotta spend money to make money" but this is like lighting money on fire and pissing on it to try and put it out.
    8. I have a very large axe to grind when it comes to the public school system.
    9. no comment.
    10. Gun or not I have sharp objects and fireworks and can get the job done with them.
