If your older than sixteen and born in the nineties you will probably love this.
if you're under the age of 16 you shouldn't even read this.

Just because you were born in 1998 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid. ... It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons - I am sorry but two years of the 90s just wont cut it.

You're a 90s kid if, you remember watching...
-Kenan and Kel
-Pinky and the Brain
-AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
-Rocko's Modern Life
-Courage the Cowardly Dog
-Hey Arnold
-Clarissa Explains it All
-The Simpsons
-The Fresh Prince of Bel air
-Nickelodeon Slime Time
-Family Feud

You've ever ended a sentence with the word PSYCHE!
You just cant resist finishing this: "In west Philadelphia born and raised...

You remember:
-Step by Step
-Family Matters
-Boy Meets World

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

When everything was settled by:

-rock paper scissors or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish

When kickball was something you did everyday!! and you played on the monkey bars and knew at least one kid who broke their arm falling off of it...

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time on a tape.

You remember when Super Nintendo became popular.

You always wanted to send in a tape to Americas Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching:
-The Magic School Bus
-Reading Rainbow
-Ghostwriter on PBS

You remember when Yo-Yos were cool.

And you played with Gak, Silly Putty and Sticky Tack that you stole from the teachers walls.

You remember eating Warheads and Smarties

You remember watching:
-The 1st Batman
-Ninja Turtles
-Ghost Busters

You remember Ring Pops!!!

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

You remember boom boxes vs. CD players

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere u went

You watched the original cartoons of
-Wild Thornberrys
-Power Rangers (with the Green ranger)
-Rocket Power

All your school supplies were Lisa Frank or Five Star brand

If you collected:
-Beanie Babies
-Pokemon cards (the oringinal 150)
-Coins with the states on them
-Silver dollars, which were cool to have

Everyone watched the WB

If you even know what an original Walkman is..

You know the Macarena by heart

"Talk to the hand". . .enough said.

You went to McDonald's to play in the play place

Before the MySpace/Facebook/Twitter frenzy...

Before the Internet & text messaging...

Before Sidekicks & iPods ...

Before PlayStation3 or X-BOX 360...

Before Spongebob...

When light up sneakers were cool and you had spiral spring shoelaces

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs

When gas was $1.

When we recorded stuff on VCR

You had slap bracelets!

You actually played outside until it was dark!

Way back-before we realized all this would eventually disappear...

    90s kid - 90's

If you've never seen a video by Linkara, I apologize for confusing the hell out of you.

I think to actually know a whole decade you would need to live right threw them. If you were born in 85 you are not saying "Oh yeah I am an 80's kid and I remember wearing colorful stuff and have crazy hair" No you dont because you were 5.
Or "yeah I remember woodstock" when you were born in the 60's.
I was born 90 and I only remember half of the 90's. I grew up with computers and CD's. But I lived my childhood threw the 90's and in 2000-2010 I lived threw my teenage years.

Stick with your fucking decade and differ between childhood and teenage years. As a teenager the 90's were probably a lot cooler. I hate it when a kid says he is from the 90's and he never ever played the original sonic on the NES or mega man or any of that awesome crap. I went with my pokemon cards to elementary school to trade cards and even sometimes play the game XD. No one born in 96 can tell me he went with pokemon cards to elementary school BS.

I agree 100% I hate it when people talk about the 90's and they weren't even old enough to remember them

It is just because many jokes on the internet are based on the 90's and they are trying to understand them but can't.
In 10 years they can make their own about their own decade. It is not like the 90's will be the most awesome decade ever. The 80's were fun, people who played pacman and stuff. I played pacman but that does not make me a 80's kid lol. The new decades are pretty awesome too. If you are a kid now you have things like kinect and these awesome graphics and when these kids are in their teenage years damn they could have some fun.

Everyone can say they are 90's kids because on the internet you can watch all the 90's shows, and even after the millenium the shows were still on. But it is a huge fucking difference. Watching power rangers on your crap TV, in the morning because you had to get up to see it, later riding your bike to your friends house and playing mario party on the N64. Now it would be like 4pm getting up turn on the TV watching the old power rangers and then play COD online with your "friends".

Was born in 95 and i did bring pokemon cards to school(though it was in the early 2000's at the point)

thats the point, some remember the early 2000's and act like that were the 90's. I dont actually remember but at that time I think that weren't the original 150 anymore. I think the early 2000's were the time of silver and gold.
I mean you had a bit of the 90's and kinda grew up in them but I dont know, I was lucky enough to be born in the beginning, but I wouldn't say I am a pure 90's kid, I remember those things but half of my life was in the 2000's I just had half of the 90's at least I feel like it.

Its was the second generation and the 1st that i remember. The only thing i really miss form the 90's were the cartoons(Those of which I watched in the early 2000s as reruns)
    - Turtlestlker December 15, 2011, 6:32 pm
Exactly, I was born in 1991. I remember when pokemon came out and taking my cards to school in second grade, watching the actual "Mighty Morphing Power Rangers" on Saturday mornings, and having to ride my bike to my friends house to play multiplayer video games. Those were the days lol :(

I was born 95" and I really do remember most of the things in the list. I don't know if most of the cartoon were re runs or what ever but I definitely remember them.I would say I am a ninety's kid however I think that if it wasn't for my older brother then that may not have been the case... all i know is that I haven't watched the fresh prince in years but i know all the words so... Oh well tell me what you think! I'm from England btw if that makes any difference. :D

If I could I would mix the 70's 80's and 90's into the best thing ever.

i was born in 96 and i remember 80% of this list
so i think four years does cut it

    same here
    - GothicRoze December 14, 2011, 10:40 pm
that is actually impossible, you cant remember anything until you are 3 years old because you brain just doesnt save anything. Until you are 3 years old your brain is learning to walk and speak and so on. So you wanna tell me you remember all this even though you are only able to remember 1999? Yeah right. You may saw some old cartoons. Sunday morning after partying at 6 o'clock they show the real x-men and sonic x and old mickey mouse and so on until 10 and then they show super action hero squad
